Burnt Bird Studios came to be when two artists, Jeff Upton of Fire In the Head Studios and Bryan Stoughton of Phoenyx Filmworx, had the idea of forming an app development company to create apps that address the needs of the creative community. Starting with their common experience in photography Burnt Bird's first app was Pro Photo Portfolio, a tool for professional and aspiring semi-professional photographers to present their work and later assist in direct sales. Expanding on similar needs for artists, craftsmen, designers and illustrators they customized their apps to meet their specific needs. Our goal was to build tools for the creative community to enable it to prosper and grow.

Burnt Bird Studios created apps for the creative community to try and enable it to prosper and grow. Burnt Bird Studios created three different portfolio apps for craftsman, graphic artists/illustrators and photographers to help with the marketing and sale of their artwork and professional skills. Unfortunately these apps are no longer available in the Apple App store.
